This Privacy Policy explains how PupPal: Care & Vets (“the app”, “we”, “our”) handles your information. The app works without creating an account and without uploading your personal data to our servers.

2) What the app does

PupPal helps you care for your dog(s): create profiles, set feeding reminders, log play/walk time, read breed info and daily tips, (optionally) play pet-friendly sounds, and find nearby vets & groomers.

3) Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or sell personal information on our servers.
Most app data stays locally on your device (using on-device storage).

Stored locally on your device

  • Dog profiles (name, age group, breed, photo you select)

  • Activity logs (e.g., walk/play duration)

  • Reminder settings (times, labels, selected days)

  • Favorites (e.g., saved sounds, if used)

  • Language preference

You can delete this data from inside the app (e.g., remove a dog profile, clear reminders) or by uninstalling the app.

Permissions we request (and why)

  • Location (approximate/precise, foreground) – Optional. Used only to show nearby vets and groomers on the map and to open directions/call. We do not store or share your location.

  • Notifications – Used to deliver local feeding/ care reminders that you schedule on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.

  • Photos/Media (read) – Optional. Only used when you choose a photo for a dog profile. The image remains on your device.

Information we don’t collect

  • No name, email, phone number, or contacts

  • No health/medical records

  • No microphone recordings or background audio

  • No advertising identifiers for tracking (unless ads are added later—see §8)

4) Analytics and diagnostics

We rely on Google Play’s standard, aggregated metrics (e.g., installs, crash reports). These are not linked to your identity by us and help keep the app stable.

5) Data sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties. When you use certain features, your device may directly contact external services, for example:

  • Maps & directions (e.g., Google Maps) to display locations or start navigation/calls.

  • System services (Android) for notifications, permissions, and crash diagnostics.

We do not receive or store personal data from these services.

6) Security

Because we do not run a backend for your personal data, most information remains on your device. Protect your device with a passcode/biometrics to keep local data safe.

7) Your choices & controls

  • Permissions: Grant/deny Location, Notifications, and Photos at any time in Android Settings.

  • Delete data: Remove a dog profile inside the app to delete its related local data (logs & reminders). Uninstalling the app removes all local app data.

  • Opt-out of location: The map still opens; without permission we simply can’t show your position or nearby places.

8) (Optional) Advertising & third-party SDKs

If we add ads in a future update: we will update this policy and the Play “Data safety” form to reflect ad networks (e.g., AdMob), what they collect (e.g., device identifiers), and how you can manage personalized ads. Until then, no ad SDKs are used.

9) Children

This app is designed for general audiences and not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. The latest version will always be available from the app’s store listing and/or in-app link.
